about

Following on from the success of Kouslin & Logan’s 'Bad' earlier this year, Durkle Disco look set to continue in the same vein with Boa Kusasa & Redders' tribal-grime hybrid banger 'BTTF', once again teaming up accomplished artists from different backgrounds in a triumphant style.

Boa Kusasa are a production-duo from deepest Somerset, who have been making waves with releases on the esteemed Beating Heart imprint, as well as for their collaborations with pidgin-rap pioneer Magugu. Their sound blends together a range of genres and influences, most obviously UK Funky, Dubstep & Global Bass/world music influences, resulting in unique intriguing and infectious riddims. Given that they're also part of the crew behind the beloved Glastonbury Festival micro-venue Babylon Uprising, it's no surprise their dubs are guaranteed dancefloor smashers.

MC/vocalist Redders is perhaps best known in the world of DnB, having recently appeared on the mighty King of the Rollers LP on Hospital, as well as notching up features alongside the likes of regular collaborator Sam Binga, as well as DnB legends Diemantle & DJ Clipz. For 'BTTF' he steps outside of his normal musical surroundings to great effect. Part of the original Durkle family, as a core member of the very first Durkle Disco act Central Spillz, Redders returns here to scintillating effect, his tantalising flow an essential ingredient in the recipe for this banger.

'BTTF' is a track that inspires you to move, thanks to its stripped back sonics & heavy tribal drum sounds. As with 'Bad', expect to hear this one across carnivals & festivals throughout summer 2019. The release is further bolstered with remixes from UK Funky originator LR Groove, guaranteed to get dancefloors going off, whilst Bristol nightlife veteran K Stylz, making his production debut, takes the original into altogether grimier territory.

about

Durkle Disco Bristol, UK

Durkle Disco is a Bristol-based label with bass at its very core. First conceived as a place where grime, garage, hip-hop and dubstep could combine and entwine - with just as much attention paid to the MCs as the producers - the label has since evolved to become a natural home for the new strains of instrumental bass-driven music coming from Bristol’s next unstoppable wave of production talent. ... more
