about

Bristol's Durkle Disco starts its 2017 release schedule with the second instalment of the 'Definitions' series, representing the label's ethos of pushing all things dark and bassy from 125 to 140bpm. Holding up the darker and more minimal end of the musical spectrum is label stalwart Unkey with the vintage Metalheadz inspired menace of 'Karate Club'. He's joined by rising Sheffield trio Denham Audio, making their Durkle debut with the room rattling 'Break Dat Thang'. On the harder side of things, 'Definitions Volume One' alumni Daffy & Gundam combine again to devastating effect with vintage-sounding grime banger 'Bio Schematics'. Last but not least, versatile Bristol duo Boycott step up with 'HK '87', a dark roller that sits perfectly between grime and dubstep - a marriage of sounds too often missing in 2017.
